I was in the mood for a simple project day! I used an old metal enamelware tray I had- white with a black edge. This was found at a garage sale awhile back, and already had holes drilled and a hanging wire across the back, so I didn't need to do anything to get this ready for my project!
At Home D. I recently found some large vinyl stick-on numbers for under $2.00 a package. These were on white backgrounds, so I had to cut them out~ if you can find peel off numbers, it would be easier, but I have not found them yet in a large size.
I used a washable marker to mark approx how I wanted to space the numbers and then stuck them onto the tray. Enamelware can take magnets, so I like to use these magnetic clips to hold message, cards, or a fun old photo~ like this one I found antiquing recently...
I love how graphic it looks! There's so many fun ways to use these numbers, and you could use the rub-on words, too! I'm thinking of other items to embellish- any suggestions?
