Garden Fun...
Thursday, June 3, 2010
Our gardens are moving into summer, with lush growth and flowering! I found this whimsical metal sun ornament for my sunny perennial bed~ he turns in the wind and seems to look over the garden! Many of the flowers are just getting ready to bloom...I'm especially anticipating the lilies, with their beautiful colors and intoxicating scents...
This dianthus is beginning to bloom...
As are the roses all around the yard...
I love this delicate pale pink climber...
Sage is opening its purple spikes...
and the petunias are beautiful in baskets everywhere...
this is my favorite color combo this year...
and at the base of that twig planter, this little viola popped up...
It's a beautiful day here today...I'm headed out to play in the gardens for awhile...
I'm linking up to Fishtail Cottage's Cottage Flora Thursday
Until next time...
Linda

those are too pretty! I love the sun!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers blooming around you! Love the tour!
ReplyDeleteA lovely garden tour. Your metal sun remind me of a sprinkler a local shop had in the shape of a sun that spun around. Unfortunately, they had no more left and wanted to keep the last one.
ReplyDeleteLinda, what beautiful flowers. I love the twig basket.
ReplyDeleteLinda, I love those purple petunias accented with the white/yellowy ones. You have a lovely garden.

ReplyDeleteHi Linda! You gardens are looking so lush and green and I don't see the sad sight of nibbled down hostas and astilbe and pansies that I am seeing in my own yard....The deer have been having a feast! Or perhaps it's the bunnies, as they seem to be especially abundant, this year. Thank you for stopping by P&H and I will look forward to visiting you, again soon! xx Suzanne
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed the tour of your lovely garden!! My favorites are the yellow and purple petunias in the twig planter. I'm using that same color scheme in my flower boxes on my potting shed. I would love to get out and work in my garden, if it would ever stop raining!! Have a great weekend!!
