I spent the last couple of days down at our family lakehome, getting things ready for winter! The boat is in storage, the heavy lift is in, and the dock sections are stacked...
There is still a little color...
and touches of fall amongst the dry leaves...Brown Eyed Susans...
Chinese Lanterns...
and lovely Asters!
But there are mostly bare branches here now...
and LOTS of leaves on the ground...
Here's what I raked just from our small front yard...
It's beautiful at the lake whatever the season...

Someday I would love to have a place like that to take my kids & make wonderful memories. It looks beautiful in the fall, that is of course my favorite time of year. I am nuts over the little cart you showed on the porch in the previous post. You always have the cutest stuff. In PA, we have not lost many leaves yet, and most of them are green. This is highly unusual for the end of October!
Although bitterweet to pack things up, I'm sure it's a good feeling to have everything snugged away for the winter!
