"The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event."
You go to bed in one kind of world and wake up in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found?"
~JB Priestly
We are having our first snowstorm of the season in Minnesota! About 5" fell overnight and it is supposed to snow all day. The very heavy wet snow has made everything a fairyland...
"When it snows, you have two choices... shovel or make snow angels."

Until next time...hope you make snow angels...XO
Linda
There is something magical about the 1st snow. These pictures are so pretty...and well Christmassy...is that word? There is silence and stillness in the snow, a kind of serenity..Snow angels how beautiful are they?thanks for sharing...your winter wonderland.....

How beautiful! I can't wait til we get our first snow up in Big Bear, only 1 hr away. My Mom has a cabin there that we use often. Love it!

I love being able to travel to different climates through blog land. You have beautiful snow and we are having our peak fall color this weekend and 70 degrees temps.
ReplyDeleteOh my. The snow is so pretty, but I hate walking and driving in it. It's 66 in Ohio today, but it is going to be short-lived as a cold front is supposed to arrive this evening.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend! La
Dear Linda,
ReplyDeleteoohh yes a fairy wonderland,-and so beautifull, we did not have any snow on my little island yet, but....it will soon be here,-like this, it truly is very lovely.

ReplyDeleteWow, that's a lot of snow! It's pretty but oh so cold looking there.
ReplyDeleteOh, it is so beautiful! I always, always loved the trees when it snowed or after an ice storm. I miss it just a bit. It is 75 here today and sunny with a breeze. I do miss the smell of a fire and the crisp air that stings your cheeks a bit! Curl up and stay warm!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I've not had the news on, so I had no idea you received all of that snow! I'm not a winter person, but I must admit that it IS pretty! Keep warm!! Great photos, btw!
ReplyDeletewow! Well, I remember that from my years in Utah! Someone said it snowed in the Texas Panhandle the other day. Pretty pics. Lezlee
ReplyDeleteIt does look pretty, but I'm not ready for it yet!
ReplyDeleteI really love seeing this! Your garden shots are so appealing. We may see a scene like this at most a couple of times a year, and then it all melts the next day. Love the quotes too! Jacqueline
ReplyDeleteHow lovely is your first snow! Somehow snow brings a sort of enchantment in its blanket of white, but also brings out the child in all of us. I can't imagine living in an area that never sees the beauty of it all.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are really lovely -I would rather make snow angels :-) Here in PA we are still having lovely weather
ReplyDeleteOh no! Being Minnesota is my home town, I remember those day's. At least it happened on the weekend, because I remember how bad traffic is during the first snowfall! I got to tell you, I just don't miss it!
ReplyDeleteCarol
Looks lovely and sparkly, but I don't want it falling on us quite yet! It's still Indian summer here in Ohio. But that could change in an instant....

ReplyDeleteSnow looks lovely. Snow is always pretty in pictures but I need to be reminded why I live in Arizona in the winter. "It is cold where it snows". Thanks for sharing your winter wonderland. I will enjoy it from afar.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos today. Looks beautiful. Thank you for sharing with us in the south who don't get snow too often.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful weekend!
Hugs, Sharon
I get so excited about the first snowflakes too. Although ours is normally just a few flying through the air. Doesn't really snow any great amount in Ohio until at least December. I'm jealous.
