A Visit to the Bachman's Spring 2011 Ideas House...
Monday, April 18, 2011
A visit to the Bachman's Ideas House in Minneapolis, is always fun and full of inspiration! If you've been following my blog for awhile you may remember the posts I did on the four Ideas Houses from 2010. There are links farther down on the sidebar for those. The theme for this house is European Romance! Be sure to click on any photo you'd like to see enlarged! The charming umbrella arrangement above is on the door into the main house...feels so much like spring!
Decorative spring arrangements are everywhere...
The house numbers are done on saucers...
The three season porch is the first room you enter. This old workbench holds a sweet vignette...
An old cast iron bathtub holds flowers and when topped with a board, serves as a coffee table, too...
Watering cans are planted with flowering plants...it's a restful room!
The dining room is ready for spring, too!
I love the ironstone tureens with moss and the individual arrangements at each place setting! Vintage embroidered table runners are layered across the table to serve as placemats...
these sweet little bird picture frames, in nests, sit in stemware and serve as place card holders...
Look at this beautiful side table arrangement! Lit from below, it is made with an old metal fencing piece topped with glass and filled with plants. Above it, the charming wall arrangement is made of decorative plates..some with mirrors added! So lovely!
Vintage sugar bowls are turned into fun hanging planters...
The kitchen is light and cheery! Above the stove, old drawers are hung as useful display shelves!
There are Easter decorations...
I like how old wood corbels are used to hold herbs...
and children's chairs are used as dog dish holders,
and the back of a vintage metal child's chair was even turned into a blackboard!
There are so many fun ideas in every room! On the next part of the visit, I'll share the living room, sunporch, and the scrapbooking room!
Until next time...
Linda
