I believe that there is really not enough niceness or common courtesy in the world today. And I think that a kindness or good deed really makes a difference in the world! I know how good it feels being on the receiving end, and how great it is to give niceness, too!
Today I happened upon Operation Nice
a wonderful blog/website started by Melissa Morris Ivone to "remind you that a little NICE goes a long way."
To me, a site that encourages "proactive niceness" is one worth sharing! You'll find the button I have added to the top of my sidebar to share the site and to remind myself and others of the importance of "niceness"! Be sure and visit the Facebook
page, too!
Until next time...I hope you have a "NICE" day... (and I really mean it!)
I couldn't agree more.
ReplyDeleteSociety has lost its ability to say excuse me, or just politeness in general.
It is really sad what we as adults are teaching our children (or not teaching them)
I shudder to think of what the future holds if it is already so rude.
Amy
I so agree. One of the things I try to do is let parents know how polite their child is and how in the retail world I work in, it means a lot. But it's not only the young that has forgotten their manners either. A lot of us could use a refresher course.

What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteOn Christmas Eve I had a gentleman put air in my tires. It made my day.
Nice is Good.
ReplyDeleteI had a chuckle...I imagined somebody actually wearing an "I am Nice" button on their lapel and actually being rude to the checker at the grocery or something.
Don't we sometimes do that? We say we're Christian and then we go about doing Un Christlike things...
sad really.
I try to be nice! does that count?
I'll go and check it out.
Pat
I will visit the facebook page--nice does go a long way!
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of NICE and KIND. Great post - I wish everyone would practice it, don't you? xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI agree! It seems we live in a society where we care only about ouselves. This selfishness turns into rudeness, and not just from teens either. I watched a middle-aged man nearly knock my daughter over in trying to beat us to the head of the line. No one is held responsible for their actions any more, and I worry about the future.
ReplyDeleteI agree, we do need more niceness in the world! Thanks for the link!
ReplyDeleteKat :)
The lack of civility astounds me these days so niceness, kindness, and caring could stand to be promoted.
ReplyDeleteI whole heartily agree with you, Nice goes a long way and we need more nice! I will check out the link, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGood to know there are still people that know the meaning of that word, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Being nice is SO important! Sound like an interesting blog.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Cindy
You ARE very nice. What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for a blog and for just a way to live your life in general. Love it.
ReplyDeleteWe all seem to be in such a hurry these days that we forget to be courteous and kind. And really, it only takes seconds of your time to hold a door open, or let somebody with one or two items ahead of us in line at the supermarket.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! You are very nice all the time Linda!~ XO
ReplyDeleteI so agree Linda. Our state has become the land of absolute hatred and meanness, all because of political disagreements.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to the days of respecting everyone, even though we may not agree? Off to check out the FB page.
Jan
Very nice!! I will go see now!!!
ReplyDeleteI love this. I wrote a whole post a while back about the word 'nice.' Yay for nice!

You are so nice for posting this!! It amazes me what I see and hear coming from Adults. I look at it as this.. Have they forgotten to be Nice? That's putting it to nicely. I always say," If you don't have something nice to say, DON'T say nothing at all." Simple. I like Nice. It can go a long way and make you feel good about yourself. Linda, you're a great Gal. Let's all spread the word....

How nice of you to remind us to always be nice! Wouldn't all of our lives be different if everyone was nicer!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it sad that we have to be reminded to be nice to others? The Golden Rule still applies in this world. I like that button.
ReplyDeleteI love nice and kind people and I love to be nice and kind. It makes such a difference in the world...and it's so easy! Great Post!

ReplyDeleteI agree 100%! What has happened to all the niceness in the world? I think if we were all nicer to each other, this world would be a much nicer place.
