I love putting them in lots by color...I think they would be wonderful framed as artwork! Thought I'd share some of, what to me, is pure eye candy...
Aren't they great looking? Like little works of art... If you're interested, these cap lots and more are in my etsy shop.
I've seen many great ideas for using bottle caps...magnets, jewelry, and altered art- we even had one man at the last Junk Bonanza who was covering the front of his Kegerator! Have you seen or done any fun projects with bottle caps?
Here's a couple of BIG ideas I found on Pinterest~
Until next time...
I am joining Angie at Knick of Time Tuesday
Love your vintage bottle cap!!! I feel that way about vintage milk bottle caps, they also have great graphs and colors. Thanks for sharing your great collection. Laura
ReplyDeleteWow Linda - you've got some beauties there. I love the graphics!

1. Thank you for sharing this wonderful collection. I recognized a few in there and putting them into color groupings was brilliant.
ReplyDelete2. Now I'm thirsty.
3. You SO have to make a self portrait with the caps! I insist!
Haaaa...thanks for the fun post. Everyone collect something of interest, right?
Mine....rusty things! I have tons!
What an amazing collection of caps you have, Linda!! Love all the color collections!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Angie
Love these! So much that I just purchased a couple of groupings from your Etsy shop!
ReplyDeleteWow Linda, I love these! Yes, they would be so darn cute framed. The turquoise, the red, and the red & yellow ones made my heart skip a beat. Can you imagine how many that portrait took? Loved how you group them!
ReplyDeleteJann
Oh Linda I love all those bottle tops. They definitely have many possibilities. Ann
ReplyDeleteYour Vintage caps are wonderful. I make pins out of Bottle Caps and have done so for years. Yours are very special! Thanks for sharing Friend :)

These are so fun! I just bought the retro set. The colors are perfect for my vintage yellow camper. I have to think of some way to display them. I can't imagine where you found such a huge pile of them. The husband was looking at them with me and said they are all unused. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWow! I never thought of grouping those and hanging them on the wall, framed. Actually a mix of yellow and orange ones would be great for my youngest son's room. Mya have to buy some......
ReplyDeleteThose look amazing. I never really looked at bottle caps before. My SIL would love some of those framed. hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteWow, talk about a walk down memory lane!!! I love those!! Love those last two pictures!!
ReplyDeleteLove the faded colors of old! There was a bottle cap artist at a recent show, made things covered in flattened out bottle caps. My husband even liked a patio table he had, but not the man sized banana chair(?) yikes!
ReplyDeleteSusanne.
Oh, so sweet to see your collection. My daughter bought button covers made out of caps about 12 years ago. Did you have a Cheerwine in your group? It's the best cherry soda made in North Carolina. Cracker Barrel is the only place in Illinois to find this great soda. Thanks for the pics.
ReplyDeleteLove your collection....
ReplyDeleteI love these fun things!! They are great and it is fun to think about when things were simpler just because we didn't have so much back then!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Lisa
There is a project once where women croquet around the bottle caps and made a hot pad in the shape of a cluster of grapes used purple and blue thread.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter took mine away from me I found it years ago when she was little and now that she has her own home she wanted it . She is into the vintage kitchen, turquoise and all
OMGosh- What a great collection! I remember so many of those tops! It always amazes me what people collect. Love the backsplash done using them. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI love both of those ideas! Your bottle caps are very interesting.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Cindy
You've got some amazing ones!! I LOVE the backsplash idea, thanks!!

Linda,
ReplyDeleteThe package came today!!!!!!! I love, love, love it all (especially those bingo cards). Although now I'm thinking I should be collecting bottle caps! I am going to post on it as soon as I get the perfect pictures. BTW....I wanted to invite you to stop by my blog. We are having an "impossibility" challenge for 2012!
I've never seen a collection of bottle caps, what fun! They are so colorful. I am so excited to have a dress form all the way from Minnesota at the party, will she be dressed in a coat and mittens LOL!
ReplyDeleteCarol
That is such a fabulous collection of caps, Linda - love all the colored sets!
ReplyDeleteI am addicted to your shop!
Blessings,

You are right, eye candy. Actually I had forgotten how pretty they were.
ReplyDeleteLisa
WOW, Linda, these are fantastic!!! And the portrait of that woman is completely amazing!!! What a true work of art. I love them just as a collection too. I saw some art where someone took wooden crosses and put them on the crosses. That looks really great too. Isn't that a neat idea? Anyway, they were shown at a horse show and they are placed over the stalls of horses to bless them...I really loved it. xo Cindy
ReplyDeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteI remember playing with bottle caps when i was a little girl. they were like play money. You have a wonderful collection.

Ciao
They look very neat grouped together. I'll run over and check them out. Like the backsplash you found on Pinterest.
ReplyDeleteI love bottle caps. I have absolutely nothing in my house made with them, and I think in 2012 I'm gonna have to change that. It's your groupings that talked me into it.
ReplyDelete~Bliss~
