Well, here in Minnesota we have some snow on the ground with the promise of more to come...but my mind is thinking of Spring! I was tired of all the red in my hutch and decided some yellow and green would bring a little feeling of spring to our home!
I brought in old books with pretty floral covers,
pretty and whimsical pieces...
The yellow makes me smile...
I think this vintage appliqued daffodil piece is so sweet...
My sweet tole lilies...
This beautiful covered carnival glass dish has such beautiful golden lustre~ it was my husband's mother's...
Funny how changing things up, makes the whole house feel more like spring! Next, I think it's time to head to the garden store for some new flowering house plants!

Until next time...
It looks great Linda! I did see geese heading North yesterday so I'm hoping that spring may actually arrive one day. :)

ReplyDeleteYour cupboard does look like spring on the way, even though I'm secretly hoping for a snow day next week just to get a day off at work!
ReplyDeleteYou are inspiring me to rummage around in my basement to see what springlike things I have tucked away. My buffet and cupboards have been bare since Christmas!

Every time I visit your blog I am happily scrolling, reading and looking at photos, and I get to the spot where the dogs are on the sidebar and I have to stop and smile. The pup in the blue cracks me up!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I've been thinking about changing out the cupboard in my front hall, it's had pretty much the same vases for a long time. You've given my some great inspiration to get 'er done. Especially with those little pictures and doilies.
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring!
Susanne.
I have no idea where I've been because I haven't seen half of these posts! I guess I've been sticking my head in the sand the last few weeks. Love that bird in the first photo. It all looks so springy and fresh.
