Recently, I had a couple of thrift store finds that were perfect to use in our entryway re-decorating project! This great clock is perfect for the big wall going up the stairs. It is new, but with lovely vintage styling, and is a huge 31" across! Sometimes, I'm amazed at what people give away...
I already had this old wood piece that had been used over a window in an old house. I used it under the clock as an anchor and to break up the tall 14 foot high wall space. I love the crackled and chippy patina...
From downstairs, you can see how high this wall is, but I wanted to keep it simple and uncluttered...
We are very happy with how it looks from both upstairs and downstairs!
I also found a charming vintage bread basket which previously held baguettes. I decided to use it on the mantel to hold some of last year's dried hydrangea instead...
Love the colors...
It's very simple, but just enough for me...
Until next time...
Great clock in the entryway Linda. And I love the dried hydrangeas in the vintage bread basket.
ReplyDeleteI hope we get the rain tomorrow that they are predicting. We really need it.
I planted Hydrangeas last year, I hope they come back, but at the end of the season they didn't look so good....

ReplyDeleteLOVE the simplicity of the clock and the basket. Still working on "simple" at my house...but I'm such a "collector" it's hard to hold back :) Laurel
