Today I'll share the rest of the Bachman's 2012 Spring Ideas House! You can click on the photos for a closer look! The girl's room is adorable! I love the charming metal gate headboards and the fun pennants...
and vintage garden fencing makes a great valance when decorated with ribbons.
This mirror has fun embellishment...
and embroidery hoops make fun frames and memo boards!
An old pie safe door becomes a magnet board...
and vintage spools are used as drawer pulls!
More garden fencing for the light shade...such a cute room!
Next up...the master bedroom...
The headboard is made from a painting and a garden trellis.
Vintage frames and twig wall hooks make a great jewelry organizer...
and look at this fun desk! The top is salvaged wood with old letters and postcards under glass.
The legs are wonderful old sawhorses...
I love these old windows, mirrored, with vintage photos...
and these charming floral pins used as tie backs!
A fireplace screen holds vintage photos.
This great garden orb makes a wonderful, trendy light fixture!
One of my favorite ideas in the house was this ladder photo display...I want to make one of these!
The boy's bedroom is a whimsical change of pace...a grass mat path leads the way...
to this fun jungle-like hideaway!
The last room is called the "inspiration den". These vintage windows make a fun bulletin board...
as does this frame with layered burlap interior!
The little coin purses serve as whimsical storage containers...
How about this altered globe...
and lampshade light cover?
The "bookshelves" have fun sayings...
"Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes."
A barn door is hung on wall slides to cover the TV!
Aren't these fun?
That's it from the house...here's a few spring pretties outdoors...
Hope you enjoyed the tour! Thanks so much for joining me and for all of your great comments! There is always a link at the top of my main blog page that leads to all of the previous Idea House tours if you'd like to see more!
I'll be joining Debra over at Common Ground's

ReplyDeleteThe girl's room is so cute. How did you attach the gates to the wall for the headboards? I have wanted to use an old iron gate as one, too, but can't figure out how to make it safe.
ReplyDeleteI love the flower curtain tie backs! Where can I find something like this?
ReplyDeletei was wondering either where you got or how you made the "love" themed art in the pic with the barn door that covered your tv??? i totally want them!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the flower tie backs. Where to buy or directions on how to make are appreciated!!!
ReplyDeleteTo those of you interested in the tiebacks...Thanks so much for your interest! The photo was taken at the Spring 2012 ideas house tour at Bachmans, a commercial landscape, garden, and home store. It is held in an old house on the flagship property. The floral pins are actually jewelry pins you would wear or hair adorments. I wish I had made them, as I've had so many requests for info! I've seen lots of tutorials on blogs and pinterest for making flowers from different materials, so you might check there, or you can try the Bachmans.com site- they have a "contact us" button and might be able to source them for you. They might also be able to tell you more about the curtains. Thanks again!

ReplyDeleteis there a reason why the price tags are still on almost every item?
ReplyDeleteTo Jennifer~ I can't respond directly by email, as your email is not enabled on your profile. The price tags are on because all of those items were actually for sale!
ReplyDeleteWhere do you suggest I go to get items to decorate my home at a low cost. Would the craft stores be good?
ReplyDeleteVery nice original blog. I loved it and hope I can get an idea or two even though we live in a small apt. Thanks.
