Fun Thrift Store Finds...
Wednesday, June 13, 2012
Garage sales have been a little slow around here right now, but I stopped in at a thrift store this week, and found some fun goodies! Look at these great chippy wooden croquet balls! They are in my Itsy Bits And Pieces etsy shop now, if you are looking for some! The sticks will be fun for projects, too!
I also found an old whisk broom...
and some vintage hangers.
Game pieces are never passed by...
and this huge jar is going to be used for storage in my studio!
Have you had any fun finds this week?
Until next time...

ReplyDeleteThose are some fun finds Linda. I have been itching to go to some garage sales lately but they all seem to be ones with tons of baby clothes and junk (not the good kind of junk). Hoping to hit some good ones this weekend.

ReplyDeleteOooo, that's some good junk! So jealous.....haven't had much time for treasure hunting lately, the little I've gotten in has not been so fruitful.
ReplyDeleteSusanne.
Croquet sets just say summer to me. The wood balls would look great in a bowl on a coffee table. I'm sure they won't last long at all!
ReplyDeleteLove the croquet set, Linda! What a fun find:) I think the hangers are my favorite, love 'em! I went thrifting the other day, and found a bunch of "gaudy gold" Homco frames, and some neat vintage candle sconces. I've already painted them Heirloom White, and will distress them tomorrow! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou found alot of good things. Those croquet balls would look cute corralled together in a wooden bowl on a coffee table.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping the weekend brings some good treasure hunting. Those colorful croquet balls are wonderful. I had some a long time ago and kept them in a silver bowl. Love all your found treasures!

Great finds! I looked at an old croquet set in the antique shop this week but it cost a small fortune. I consoled myself by buying another old brownie camera but this one had the flash attachment which was a happy bonus.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun finds! Love.. love the old library cards in the previous post. The sales here haven't been that exciting! Oh well, at least you found some balls!! LOL
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend :)

I actually ventured to
ReplyDeleteLake & Lyndale to a
vintage clothing store
and scored some things
for my husband to wear
to a Downton Abbey party
that we are invited to!
I also hit GW a couple of
times with my mama, who
scours the racks for wool
sweaters that can be felted
and used to make purses
and pillows. She scored
big time here in MN, this
week!
Have a great weekend,
sweet friend!
