I thought I'd share a little more studio storage with you today! I appreciate your comments about how organized I am... I'm really NOT...but I'm trying to get there. I've been working hard on getting my studio in order the last few months...but it has a ways to go before it's ready to share. I have a lot of small goodies for art and inventory to fill my Itsy Bits And Pieces etsy shop. One of my favorite way to organize and display, is in glass jars. Whenever I'm at the thrift stores or garage sales, I'm always on the hunt for all different shapes and sizes. Take a look at how fun
vintage goodies look in jars and bottles...
Look at this great jar...and such sweet little cake topper ballerinas...
I especially love this big jar! It's about 16" high! I found it in a thrift store, and when I looked it up online, I discovered it was an early 1900s era candy store display jar for Bunte. I have some pretty vintage Christmas glass beaded garland in it now, but I may have to bring this one into my kitchen...
Whenever I find jars, I store them in my big old metal cubby, until ready to use.
Do you use jars for storage, too?
Until next time...
I espeically love the wooden bingo ball jar. Such cool finds!
ReplyDeleteit all looks so fantastic - your photographs are great at capturing the detail - I want it all! And yes, I do use glass jars for storage too...in fact, I was just thinking about doing a post about jars and cans for organizing...but you have covered it completely! BTW...as I was cleaning out my studio, I came across a couple of dog playing cards...I think you might need them...send me your address and I'll get them out to you!
ReplyDeleteHow cute Linda. These would look so cute on my new desk. I don't have it yet though but when I do I may incorporate things like this:)
ReplyDeleteI love your organization! Your vintage goodies looks so pretty in the jars.

I have really got whete I love jars. I got a very old coffee jar not too long ago for a buck. Has the neatest metal red lid with stars. I use it in my kitchen for toothpicks :) I like all your jars!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sherri
You're going to make me clean up my office now. I have a lot of glass jars, but most are empty. Have no idea why I don't store anything in them.
ReplyDeleteI save and use jars for lots of things. I'm a jar hoarder, I think! :)
ReplyDeletethe number one reason of using glass jars is to remember what I have and can see it, lol
ReplyDeleteI adore your collection of jars especially the little doggie on top :)
Hope the remodel has been fight free and going smoothly.
:)

Oh gawd yes; jars! Started buying them in the 70's! I have an overabundance but yes, I use them in the art room, kitchen, bathroom, pantry, for jewelry and etc., etc.! Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteWhere in the world do you find all your bits and pieces. I don't know how long it's been since I've visited, but I just love this post!
ReplyDeleteBonnie
Love those jars Linda!!!
ReplyDeleteThe first photo of the jar with the dog on top is adorable! I've got some of those ballerina cupcake toppers hidden away in a box somewhere. I think I need to find a jar for them!
ReplyDeleteYou have some great displays and you have organized your things beautifully. Love jars and I use them, too...but my own are NOT as cute as YOURS! Love that big jar-for sure you have to get that into your kitchen!!!! Hope you have a great night- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI love your jars full of vintage goodies! But what I love even more, is the previous post that I missed! Wallpaper removal can be brutal. I removed the last of it from my house and swear I will NEVER put it up again!! I loved your hubby's notes! Can't wait to see your reveal on the kitchen!!!!

I love your sweet jars full of goodies - how fun! You have some interesting collections and they look fab in your pretty jars. I love the old candy jar - that's a real treasure. I am always on the lookout for jars, especially big ones for pantry storage. I have all my buttons in jars, too. I like being able to see what is inside - saves time searching. Now I have to check out your previous post - I am intrigued by Kris' comment. xo
ReplyDeleteI would have so much fun playing in this room!
ReplyDeleteThese are fun and decorative - love it!
ReplyDeleteWell if you can't really be organized at least what 'ya got can be cute. And now I want to play jacks with real metal jacks.
ReplyDeleteLinda, you have some wonderful collections of all kind of GREAT stuff- and it all looks so good in the glass jars, dear . Yes I also collect jars , and save buttons and such inside :-)

Hi LInda,
ReplyDeleteI love jars, too! Especially old ones. But the things INSIDE your jars are so exciting to me! Numbers, letters, game pieces, etc...LOVE. LOVE. LOVE.
Your collection of jars is just as impressive as what you have chosen to store in them. So many shapes and sizes - love the yellow lid one with the ballerina's (so cute). I like to store stuff in jars too but my collection is no where near your's. I did find two large jars last week at the thrift store which I was very excited about.
ReplyDeleteI just love visiting your blog! What wonderful storage.... the pug is so cute - my daughter Olivia is obsessed with them at the moment and it is kind of catching!

Puggle on a jar? LOVE!
ReplyDeleteThat doggone jar is so doggone cute!
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking of destashing a bunch of game pieces but now you got me going on a jar filling rampage!
I'm right there with you, Linda. Working on organizing my new sewing space since my son headed down to the basement for a little more privacy and room. I LOVE your glass jars! No use collecting all the cute stuff we love if you can't see it, right! Nice photos too. I enjoyed my visit.

I have three globes now but I am way behind you on the bingo and game pieces in the jars. I love games and toys!
ReplyDeleteYour jars with stuff look just like my jars with stuff. I can never turn down an old peanut butter jar or mayo jar or ... well, any old jar. Love the game pieces! Came over from Revi's.
ReplyDeleteJars are so COOL! The one that was from a store will look great in your new kitchen! I need a bigger craft room! LOL!

Love your jars with all the goodies in them. Yes...I use jars for storage too.
ReplyDelete~Cindy
I could look at your goodies for days on end...
ReplyDeletexo
I sure do use jars for storage! I have several jars filled with collectibles - dice, marbles, etc. And then I use glass jars in my pantry for all my different grains and pastas.
ReplyDeleteI love storing little treasures in jars; yours are just too much fun. I'd want to keep it all for myself!
ReplyDeleteTerrific use of jars Linda. It really makes your small bits pieces of art.
ReplyDeleteLove all your glass jar storage, Linda! I like how they become display as well as storage. I use jars a lot, too, because I like to see what's in my storage. I've started using the yankee candle jars when the candles are done {and I've cleaned them out}. I keep the lids so they work out great. I don't have as many game pieces as you, but I've been able to keep separate jars for dice, scrabble tiles, the odd game pieces that are mixed in with checkers.
ReplyDeleteYour vintage goodies look so great in the jars. I am going to go into my studio this week and do more jar storage and get some of the goodies out of the ugly plastic boxes I have been using. Thank you for sharing! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, I just came over from your Saturday feature at Must Love Junk! I enjoyed looking at all your vintage goodies in the jars......I am a junker too! I know I will LOVE your blog! I am your newest follower....Blessings~~~Roxie
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! I love the jars with all the goodies. It's a great decorating idea to save the pieces from games when it is too bad of shape to give away!
ReplyDeletelove the pug jar!
ReplyDeleteLOVE all of your fun treasures featured in the jars!! makes me want to make something :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful post, Linda. I could look at your jars all day long.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see how
ReplyDeleteyour studio is coming along!
All this storage is so sweet.
I began tackling my own
craft room yesterday--what
a job! But you've inspired
me to not give up--thanks!

A girl after my own heart! I too pick up any type of glass jar that I find at thrift shops or even T.J. Maxx. One can never have too many jars! I fill them with items I use in my craft room and some are on display in my theater room. I love all of the variety of goodies you have in yours. Now I think I need to find some old round bingo balls! lol!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
I love jars too, Linda. Can't get enough of them!
