A Wee Bit o' the Irish...

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  I have only a little Irish ancestry (my great-grandmother was a Fitzgerald), but thought I'd share a wee bit o' the Irish with some vintage goodies!

I love this charming little metal dustpan...embossed with shamrocks.
Did you notice the shamrock embroidered linen cloth?

These vintage sheet music covers are so graphic...

and I love the look of this little trade card, too.

Do you celebrate St. Patrick's Day?

Next post, I'll be sharing a simple project...

Until next time...

  1. We have celebrations in Dublin Georgia and Savannah, Georgia. I hate crowds so I don't join the festivities. My brother and his family live in Dublin, GA and they love it! It was a busy weekend for them. Most unusual dustpan. Love old sheet music and the linen with shamrocks is beautiful!

  10. Oh my goodness, that little dust pan is so pretty. Love all your little Irish treasures. My mother is half Irish, but we didn't have big celebrations when I was growing up. We wouldn't dare go to school without wearing green!

  11. One of my BFF's gave me a shamrock plant last week. I was worried I'd kill it before it saw today.

  13. Will you be displaying your beautiful Irish wares anywhere in your home? That dustpan is so unique and pretty. My husband is half Irish (his/our last name is Riley) but we don't do anything to celebrate St Patrick's day.

  14. How sweet that dustpan is and your beautiful embroidered linen! You always have the best stuff! The sheet music is pretty special, too! Of course we celebrate St. Patrick's Day - both my husband and I are half Irish from the Boston area. (Now in Washington State) I always cook a traditional Irish meal - tonight it is Irish stew and soda bread. My dream is to go to Ireland someday......Hope your Holiday is fun - don't get pinched! xo Karen

  21. Oh that is a sweet little dust pan. I wonder if it's really a crumb catcher? The linen with the shamrocks is nice too. We didn't do anything special for St. Patrick's Day.

  24. Oh Linda I've been thinking about you and I was so happy to see your comment! How are you? I had to stop by and see your St Patrick's post because you always have such unique items to share. Funny but we don't do much on St Patricks day although my husband's grandfather was a Fitzpatrick too! He has lots of relatives in Ireland that he's never met. Thanks for stopping by and brightening my day!
