Happy St. Patrick's Day! I have only a little Irish ancestry (my great-grandmother was a Fitzgerald), but thought I'd share a wee bit o' the Irish with some vintage goodies!
I love this charming little metal dustpan...embossed with shamrocks.
Did you notice the shamrock embroidered linen cloth?
These vintage sheet music covers are so graphic...
and I love the look of this little trade card, too.
Do you celebrate St. Patrick's Day?
Next post, I'll be sharing a simple project...
Until next time...
We have celebrations in Dublin Georgia and Savannah, Georgia. I hate crowds so I don't join the festivities. My brother and his family live in Dublin, GA and they love it! It was a busy weekend for them. Most unusual dustpan. Love old sheet music and the linen with shamrocks is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLovely sharing Linda, a treat to see a bit of Irish.

These are so beautiful items..! Happy st. patrick's day! I am not Irish, but this day means me a lot! :)
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful! I love them all but my favorite is the dustpan. It is so sweet. Happy St. Patrick's Day. Our tribute to St. Patrick's Day is to wear green. xx Dianne
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patrick's Day!
ReplyDeleteOld is Gold!. See the print of design looks good in the dustbin!
You find the prettiest things, Linda! Happy St. Patrick's Day! After a long day at work, I'll be going to bed early. No celebrating for moi!
ReplyDeleteI love this. the dustpan is very sweet, my first thought was that is was a tray. The linen is wonderful. Happy St Patricks Day!
ReplyDeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteLove the dust pan that is really cute. Happy St. Patty's Day to you too.
Kris
Your dustpan is gorgeous, Linda! I've never seen one like it before. Love your sheet music and linen too! I'm mostly Irish, so of course I will be preparing a corned beef and cabbage dinner tonight. Happy St. Patrick's Day!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that little dust pan is so pretty. Love all your little Irish treasures. My mother is half Irish, but we didn't have big celebrations when I was growing up. We wouldn't dare go to school without wearing green!
ReplyDeleteOne of my BFF's gave me a shamrock plant last week. I was worried I'd kill it before it saw today.
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous dustpan with the shamrock pattern, and also the linnen is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWish you a wonderful day Linda, and much Irish luck, dear.
Hugs,Dorthe
Will you be displaying your beautiful Irish wares anywhere in your home? That dustpan is so unique and pretty. My husband is half Irish (his/our last name is Riley) but we don't do anything to celebrate St Patrick's day.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet that dustpan is and your beautiful embroidered linen! You always have the best stuff! The sheet music is pretty special, too! Of course we celebrate St. Patrick's Day - both my husband and I are half Irish from the Boston area. (Now in Washington State) I always cook a traditional Irish meal - tonight it is Irish stew and soda bread. My dream is to go to Ireland someday......Hope your Holiday is fun - don't get pinched! xo Karen
ReplyDeleteThat is the sweetest dust pan...It is very unusual too. I love old embroidered pieces. Hope you had agreat day, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteI love that dustpan! I would hang it up and never use it for cleaning, LOL. No, we really don't celebrate it, but it is nice to give a nod to the holiday.
ReplyDeleteI love the embroidered linen and the shamrocks on the dust pan too. Pretty things to leave out for St. Patrick's day.

Ahh more lovelies Linda. That dustpan is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteWe don't celebrate but we do love Guinness!

The family and I don't normally do more than make sure we wear green just for fun since where not Irish at all.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! My grandmother was an O'Shannon and came over from Ireland when she was a little girl. Love the dustpan, so pretty!

Oh that is a sweet little dust pan. I wonder if it's really a crumb catcher? The linen with the shamrocks is nice too. We didn't do anything special for St. Patrick's Day.
ReplyDeleteOlá amiga, vim retribuir sua carinhosa visita ao meu cantinho.
ReplyDeleteFiquei feliz com sua doce presença!!!
Obrigada, volte sempre e pegue o meu selinho de agradecimento!
Beijos Marie.

ReplyDeleteOh Linda I've been thinking about you and I was so happy to see your comment! How are you? I had to stop by and see your St Patrick's post because you always have such unique items to share. Funny but we don't do much on St Patricks day although my husband's grandfather was a Fitzpatrick too! He has lots of relatives in Ireland that he's never met. Thanks for stopping by and brightening my day!
ReplyDeleteThat is a darling crumb catcher! :)
