It's been awhile since I've shared fun finds! I went out to a couple of shops last week and thought I'd share a few goodies...
I'm sure you've seen these around...newer, great looking framed chalkboards. This one still had the tags on it and lots of hot pink chalk residue. It was probably a store display that couldn't be sold as new...hey, it works for me!
I cleaned it up, and seasoned the board by rubbing it with white chalk and erasing...
added a little crock for chalk...
a hand stamped little bird for decoration, and a big clip for memos...
I'll be using it in my kitchen...
I found a few things that will be making their way into my shop...
I never expect to find things like this...a couple of vintage medical jars!
And I always love finding vintage game pieces...ivory colored dominoes have such a great look. I especially love them displayed in glass or tarnished silverplate,
like my favorite old bride's basket.
Before I go, I'd like to thank Artful Blogging magazine and editor Danielle Mohler, for including one of my photos in the Blogger Buzz feature!
The Spring 2015 issue is on the stand now...
Some of you might like to be published in a Stampington publication...why not try? Here's a link to all of their Calls and Challenges and to the March Calls and Challenges explaining the process! I've had fun with it, and I don't take it personally when something isn't used. So go for it!
I am joining~
Until next time...
that bird stamp makes the piece!

Always fun to see the latest find or project you have to share with us!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
ReplyDeleteLove your sweet finds. I may have to have one of those medical jars if you list them. How cute would that jar be with suckers in them. Being a nurse I think I might just have to have one. Too sweet. Congrats on being in Artful blogger.

Congratulations on your feature, Linda! I love how the details you added to the chalkboard, and those medical jars are an awesome find!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great chalkboard, Linda! I love the wire basket to hold stuff. I never luck out finding "good" game pieces at the thrift store. I have never seen domino's or Scrabble games at our Goodwill (and those are the things I would want!).
ReplyDeleteCongratulations...There is no bigger honor than being in a Stampingtons publication! Great chalkboard redo and vintage finds

I have that same chalkboard! I got mine new from Target. It's definitely a fun piece. Congrats on being featured in that magazine. I'll have to go to Barnes & Noble to check it out. I'm due for a trip anyway.
ReplyDeleteAll your finds are great, but that chalkboard.... I'm inspired!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
ReplyDeleteYou always seem to get the best finds...amazing! Your little hand-stamped bird just makes that chalkboard...nice job.
