Hope you are having a lovely summer! Lots of family things going on here, even the birth of a sweet new grandson! Such a blessing!
I've been enjoying family visits, and lots of lazy naps in our sunporch. I mentioned in earlier posts that we had been finishing off the dining section of the space...last post I shared the hutch...and today I'll show you the rest of what we've done!
We decided to use the old table that we previously had in here, at our family lakehouse, and found this fun porch table at IKEA. It works perfectly for our family's needs...
An old ladder holds some of my straw garden hats...
We added some rustic old cupboard doors to either side of the French doors. I love this great vintage windmill. When I got it several years ago, it had blue accent paint (not original) and I changed it to black to work better in the space...
I love the great graphic look...
The walls were sheetrocked and painted with Benjamin Moore's Edgecomb Gray...the trim and wood sections
were painted with Behr's Swiss Coffee.
We added wood beadboard under the windows and around the walls leading up to the living portion of the porch. And a new floor went in, too...a pretty and practical wood laminate...

I hung vintage window inserts in the openings between the beams going up into the living space...
It is a wonderful place for friends and family to gather for a meal! We still have a few little finishing touches, but soon we'll start finishing off the upper portion...
