Thrift stores are some of the best places for inexpensive seasonal decor finds! Last week, I picked up a few items for our home. Faux pumpkins are something I'm always looking for, and I want to try re-doing some with chalk paint. But I thought this one was perfect just as found...love the stem...
And there was this great wreath from Target's Threshold decor line, too. Wonderful oak leaves and acorns...
I found this frame, perfect for fall, decorated with carved oak leaves. A visit to The Graphics Fairy found this wonderful 1828 primitive squirrel print, perfect for framing. Always check the frame section of the thrift stores...you can save a lot of money!
My favorite find of the day, though, was this painting. It called out to me across the store...I love the naive style and strong colors...
It may end up as part of our gallery wall...but for now I am enjoying it on it's own, in our sunporch...
Have you found any fun finds for fall?
Until next time...
Love your finds Linda! The frame and the squirrel print are adorable!

Great finds, Linda! Yes, I' cannot deny I've found some things, but darn it, I am trying to purge this weekend, hoping that community yard sale is not canceled (this is the 2nd rain date). My car is packed and ready to go either to the yard sale or drop off center!

All the faux pumpkins I found this year came cheap from the antique mall. I think the highest one was $2.

ReplyDeleteGreat Finds! I love the carved frame - it's gorgeous. I really need to get myself to the thrift store, I have been putting it off for way to long.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to stay out of thrift stores as much as possible because there is absolutely nothing I need! I've been taking bags of stuff to thrift stores to donate instead. Though the things you just found are fantastic and I probably wouldn't be able to pass them up either! I especially love the wreath and the painting.
ReplyDeleteYou found some great things at the thrift store. Good idea to look for frames there. They can always be painted if they don't match your decor. Love the squirrel in the cute wooden frame.
