Have you put away your holiday decorations yet? I have slowly been transitioning into a winter decor here, just taking our Christmas tree down today. Having decorated in a woodland style this year, I was able to easily change it over to winter decor, just removing a few things and adding a few others!
I always have fun doing something new with the entryway area...
I started with the chalkboard...we finally did get a real snowfall last week, and it is looking like winter now. I love chalkboards...you can change them whenever you like...free artwork!
My husband received this cute toy bear, with a book about bears this Christmas. I gave the bear a cute little houndstooth wool scarf, and added him to a little snow scene.
Silly, but he makes me smile...
Silly, but he makes me smile...
It's such a simple little vignette for winter...
Until next time...
Hi Linda,
ReplyDeleteLove your winter vignette in your entry. Here's wishing you the best in the new year.
Kris
Such a cozy winter vignette. Congratulations on contributing to NOVICA. How exciting!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Linda! Love your charming chalkboard vignette; that little bear is too cute.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful New Year. Love your vignette. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty decor. My holiday decor is still out but will go up soon. I'm working on getting more winter decor, it's nice to have somethings out between the holidays and Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteLinda, I love the transition you made and your scarf wearing bear is adorable! I'm still finishing up putting away Christmas too. Congrats on contributing with Novica--I wasn't familiar with it but loved your tea time post!
ReplyDeleteI think its perfect Linda. Love the bear with the hounds tooth scarf! I've always had a weakness for hounds tooth. My chalkboard still sits empty. I erased it and haven't taken the time to add anything new yet.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Cute vignette! Headed over to see about your new gig.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Cute vignette, Linda, and congrats on the new engagement. Heading over now....
ReplyDeleteI love your winter vignette! I'm trying to simplify things around here...it's hard but I really need to downsize and I started with one of my collections..egg cups.
ReplyDeletehugs, Linda
I can't free hand a chalkboard that well! Looks great, Linda! I love the bear in the scarf. I would smile too.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new niche at NOVICA. That was an enjoyable post, and so is this one. Hope your new year gets happier and happier!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Linda! I love whimsical decorating like your little bear with his houndstooth scarf. : ) Very cute! I have put all my decorations in one "loading area" (the coffee table) and plan on going back up to the attic to get my bins down to put all my Christmas décor away. Other than that, I have no idea what I'm going to do once that is all put away. I supposed I will move onto Valentine's Day décor (what little I've got) and figure something out as I try to fill in blank spots.
ReplyDeleteLove your Winter time decor... and no. I don't have facebook,(and didn't know) so I'm glad you posted about it here. I'm heading over to read it. ;)
ReplyDeleteHappiest of new years to you and yours Linda!
You have created a charming winter scene Linda. I love bears, although whenever I am visiting our mountain property up in Idaho, I am afraid that I might run into a real one ;-)
ReplyDeleteBig Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
Happy New Years! I've been slowly taking my Christmas decorations down and have bought new containers to put everything in so I can clean out the old ones and get rid of a lot that I'm not using anymore!
ReplyDeleteI love the snow scene you made and the chalkboard, I may copy the words but it won't look as good as yours, I'm not to good at chalk writing!lol
I hope the bear stays at your house and stays far away from my bird feeders!! Haha what an adorable vignette! Congrats on your Novica post - I'm popping over for a peek now! Xo
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are beautiful, I enjoy looking at them.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!!!
best regards
Antje

It is perfect Linda! I love the little bear of your husbands. How sweet. Stay warm now:)
ReplyDeleteI am missing my real snow here in Missouri for sure, in years pass we had as much as 22 inches or anyway 8 inches nothing for this year so far.
ReplyDeleteYou little snow scene looks very pleasant
Love the scarf, makes him seem so dignified! And I'm a HUGE chalk board lover. I usually have one in my foyer as well. Congrats on the Novica blog, it sounds exciting! And thanks for joining us at Vintage Charm!xoKathleen Charm Bracelet Diva {At Home}
ReplyDeleteYour Winter decor looks great! I love the cute woodland scene you created. Congrats on being a contributor to the Novica blog. I'll have to go check it out.
ReplyDeleteI love what you left and changed up. I really thought about leaving out my white trees and snow. I wish I had seen this before putting things away. I think I'll got right now and change up my chalk board. I sure hope it snows.
ReplyDeleteI love the little winter scene and the little bear. I like the Let it Snow on your chalk board. Perfect for the winter house! I haven't changed my chalk board in awhile, it hangs over Landon's chair and says 'you make me happy when skies are grey' and since it's true, I just can't change it :)))
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful 2016!!!
Linda,
ReplyDeleteOh your winter scene is so darn cute and thank you for sharing it off at my Show and Share Party.
Blessings,
Linda
A lovely vignette, Linda, and I like the tea set as well. Happy 2016.

ReplyDeleteInspiring to see winter decorations still after the Christmas ones are gone.... I like that idea :)
