Time for a few fun finds! After a busy week, my husband and I took advantage of a free day and visited some thrift stores!
It's always fun...and we found a few goodies...
like these three little pewter candleholders!
And how about this tray?
JUST KIDDING...
all this 90's goodness...
But I loved the patina on the wood...and painting the tray surface with chalkboard paint transformed it!
This little wooden peel is hanging in our house now...
and I always love finding big, beautiful baskets.
I love the twisted handle...
It won't be long until the garage sales start here again! I can't wait! Have you had any fun finds this week?
I am joining~
Until next time...
You always find the best treasures, Linda! The chalkboard paint totally transformed that tray and I especially love the lidded basket. I am looking forward to garage sales starting up soon too. Have a great start to your week!
ReplyDeleteWhat an unusual basket! I always love your finds. Over the weekend I was reading a gardening magazine and saw your name as the photographer who took the photos from the Bachman house. Congrats my friend!

You always find the coolest stuff - love, love, love that picnic basket - drooling!!
ReplyDeleteLove the baskets and the peel. Great finds!
ReplyDeleteWe went thrifting yesterday and found a few goodies! One is a very old wood and metal croquet rack with the mallets and wickets. I also found a frame to chalkboard and mount to my pantry door - joy! My best find was a book to go with a CD set for music appreciation (homeschool). That was an amazing blessing since I had just organized our CDs and saw I was missing the book. I love your basket with the twisted handle. I'm always on the lookout for interesting baskets too.
ReplyDeleteSounds like wonderful finds...it's always great to find something you've been needing!
DeleteOh absolutely I've had some Finds... most of which will end up in my Showrooms since I'm trying valiantly not to be such of a Human Magpie at Home! Loving your first Image with the Print of various Eggs! Happy Spring... Dawn... The Bohemian

ReplyDeleteOh boy do you live far enuf away from western CO? Love your picnic basket and twisted handle basket, would love to have them. Am always admiring what people find at their thrift stores, such fun.
ReplyDeleteLast week we found nice sturdy 6 drawer dresser to make tv stand with at our local thrift store ($20). Wanted higher stand and rustic one so we will redo the dresser. Have already sanded it, bought paint, took two top drawers out to put shelf in for dvd player and got some good sturdy casters so will be easier to move it. Since will be using 4 drawers for storage of some of my "stuff" we got little bigger sturdier casters.
Hubs was against putting casters on dresser but I left him mull idea over without trying to persuade him and we went shopping for casters yesterday way across town. Casters at Harbor freight are so much more affordable and better quality for money. Of course hubs found couple other things he had to have while there plus we had lunch close by.
Happy for you in your finds. I always enjoy finding affordable thrift items more than brand new things. Happy rest of week
Your TV stand will be wonderful! I love thrifting!
DeleteThe baskets are fabulous! I love everything else too. I just posted some new finds and today I went to Goodwill and found more great stuff. Can't get enough of thrifting!
ReplyDeleteYikes.... I just realised how much I'd love a wicker basket!

Great finds! Love love love the picnic basket and the way you transformed the tray!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
ReplyDeleteI just stopped over from Comfy Home and when I saw the chicken wire cupboard, I knew I'd found a new blog to follow as I'm building one in the basement from an old wooden shallow barn cabinet. I'm all done except for installing the chicken wire. Can't wait to explore your posts. I saw that you have been blogging since 2008, so I might not get to every one but I'll enjoy what I find.

You had me going there for a moment when you shared that duck tray! Ha! I like your version better. My subdivision is participating in a garage sale later this month. April seems to be the kick-off month doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteI find myself looking at the thrift store things always thinking "can I paint that?". If the answer is yes it usually comes home with me.
