My Word For The Year...and a Winner!

Do you choose an inspiration word for the new year?  I do.  Last year my word was "Explore".  And this year, continuing that path...I have chosen the word "Learn"...

For several years, I have enjoyed taking online classes!  I have learned more about photography, photoshop, writing, art, and home.  And I have spent quite a bit of money on many of them! A couple of months ago I discovered Skillshare 
and purchased a yearly Premium Membership 
with unlimited access to 13,000 classes!

I've been playing with learning watercolor brushes...here's my first play sheet of a little cat and florals from the class~ Cute Florals Character Motifs With Watercolor Brush Pens

I've been experimenting with lettering, too!  

Right now I am taking 

Bounce Letters- Adding Character to Your Hand Lettering 

It takes lots of practice, but it's fun...

I also enjoyed taking Hand Lettering For Chalk Murals

I love drawing with chalk and it will be fun trying some of the techniques I learned!  This week I had fun making a winter chalkboard in our entryway...

I had fun sketching ideas...

I have been taking other lettering classes, and look forward to exploring the many categories of classes available! 

I'm in my happy place...

 There is something for everyone
