{This post includes a review and giveaway from the Canvas Factory}
Happy 2017! Now that the holidays are behind us...here in Minnesota we have the long winter ahead! I'm not one to put all of our Christmas decorations away all at once, but rather slowly...and removing those that are obviously Christmas decorations first.
I really like the Danish concept of Hygge (pronounced
hue-gah)...embracing winter with warm lighting, comfort foods and drinks, coziness, and making times feel special.
It can make a long winter feel much more enjoyable...
I like to keep little white lights,
I have also had fun creating personal artwork for
our home and Christmas gifts. I painted signs...
this family sign will be part of our winter gallery wall.
this family sign will be part of our winter gallery wall.
I also love using my photographs as art...when I have one that feels special. A few posts back I shared an instagram photo
that I thought would be great for Christmas artwork.
that I thought would be great for Christmas artwork.
of our Christmas gallery wall on our stairway...
The print was beautifully done,
with a closed back and hangers...
The website was very user friendly! One feature I didn't end up using on this particular piece...they offer the ability to add decorative text to your photo canvas...
which I think greatly adds to the creativity!
THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED.
They are offering one of my readers a free 16 x 20 canvas print, and shipping is free, too! So if you would like a chance to win,
and create your own photo canvas, just leave a comment below.
This giveaway is for U.S. and Canada readers only...
and be sure I have a way to reach you, if you win!
This giveaway ends Monday January 9th, 10 PM, Central Time. Good luck!

I was provided with a photo canvas to review...all opinions are my own.
Until next time...stay warm and cozy!
Your photo is really a great subtle Christmas item that can certainly stay out on display well after the season is over!
ReplyDeleteA photo canvas would be an awesome birthday gift for grandpa!

What a lovely photo to have made into a canvas! I love taking photos and using them as decor in my home. Fingers crossed I might win this!
ReplyDeletehugs!
I always love to get a glimpse of your great vintage finds! And I'm really enjoying reading about Hygge, which I hadn't heard of a year ago. Looking forward to seeing your projects in 2017!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
The Hygge concept is one I want to embrace too. We have so much snow right now and below zero temps. I'm all about cozying in and enjoying my home. I'm hoping to learn how to knit socks...
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win the canvas from your gorgeous photos, Linda! Please enter my name.
Lovely! Personal pieces are the best kind of art.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year from Canada!! Super photo on canvas! Enjoy your blog thank you!
ReplyDeleteLove this print.
ReplyDeletePatricia NC Coast
Would love to see one of my husband's photos on canvas !!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't envy your long winters! In Texas, we have warm days off and on and hardly ever wear a heavy coat. I love the car with the tree on top. Very creative! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteI love winter decorating with lots of tone on tone neutral colors. It seems so peaceful after all the color and business of Christmas. I adore your big clock face and the canvas looks perfect of your gallery wall, Linda. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! Oh how lovely! I would love to win a canvas and gift it to my son for his birthday. Cheers!

I have a cool vintage photo of my grandfather when he was a boy. He is going to have his 90th birthday in March & a canvas would display that childhood memory proudly!
ReplyDeleteI would like to have a canvas print made of my kids. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteKellywcu8888ATgmailDOTcom
Everything you've decorated with is divine! I would love to win a canvas too...actually YOUR canvas is pretty darn cute! Thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely photo canvas! I only began exploring them this past year but have fallen hard for the look. I would love to add another to my collection.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, this will only let me comment using my "google account" and I am unsure what email is associated with it. Having a YouTube channel with a non-gmail email often screws up this type of thing so I will leave you my direct email. Debbieomi at hotmail. Thank you!
I, too, use pine cones and greenery to lighten up winter. And snowmen tucked here and there.
ReplyDeleteLove the art work and your decorating talents.
Just finished putting Christmas boxes in the attic.....oh, how I miss having a basement! All that's left out are the few things I don't put in the attic, some vintage winter scene paintings, a snow globe, and vintage pine cone plates.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo you chose for your canvas.....what photo to choose if I win?!? Thanks for the opportunity!
Also, I'd like to thank you for all the Bachman House photos.....I live vicariously through your posts.
Happy New Year!

Love this idea and the giveaway. The hard part would be picking which photo to use.
ReplyDeleteI love the photo you used to get the canvas. I would have a difficult time trying to come up with a single photo, but I certainly wouldn't mind trying! Thank you for the opportunity to win!
ReplyDeleteYour winter decorating seems just right. It adds just what's needed when the Christmas decorations come down. Thank you for the opportunity to win a canvas. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteYour post makes me want to start decorating my living room for winter! I've taken down and packed away everything Christmas-related, but contracting work is set to begin here on the 16th. Everything (every knick knack, things on the walls, furniture) will have to be packed away and moved out of the living room and kitchen. So no decorating for me right now! Wish I could push a fast-forward button and have it be over, but I know I have to deal with it.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the chance to win a canvas in your giveaway - yours is beautiful!
We have christmas untill the 6th of january. And as a dane I'm so proud that the danish hygge is spreading around. Thank you for your give away. Count me in.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you.
Hugs from
Lina Aggerholm
I have recently discovered your blog and I enjoy your decorating ideas. I know just which photo I'd use for the canvas. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI love your ideas. Taking down Christmas can make my house feel so cold and empty. Your idea of doing it slowly and leave winter out us a great idea. I'd love to win the free print. Thank you and Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteLinda I'm the same way. Winter is long and boring so why not leave up some decor to enjoy and feel cozy. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the print! So many photos come to mind I would use with this!! I'm going to go to their website and see how much damage I can do! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh! Look how great that canvas turned out. What a neat picture to translate to a piece of canvas art. I don't sign up for many giveaways anymore but you can count me in for this one, Linda.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful 2017!! xo Diana
What a great giveaway Youre canvas turned out great
ReplyDeleteI think the Danish have found the key to making our long winters bearable. We just held our 3 day family Christmas celebration, so I'm in no great hurry to pack away all the twinkling lights. I just love the photo you used for your canvas art, Linda! And your little winter accents sprinkled around are a nice transition out of the holidays and into winter. I don't sign up for many giveaways either, but sign me up for this one, please!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!

ReplyDeleteI love the canvan addition! I always leave winter-like decorations up! My mercury candleholders, white candle and sparkly lights with a little red here and there! That way I can transition to Valentine's! Even though I live in the "sunny south" I like my house to show feeling!

ReplyDeletehugs,

ReplyDeleteMust say, Linda, I like your New Year's post much better than most ... of those usual "cleaning/decluttering/change your life" January posts. And as a fellow Minnesotan, the Hygge concept sounds like a great idea. Likewise, the photo canvas idea. Will have to try both! Happy New Year :D
