Christmas is nearly here and it's time to share my visit
to the 2017 Bachman's Holiday Ideas House tour!
The theme this time was "Dressed In Christmas Greenery"!
If it is your first time seeing an Ideas House tour, Bachman's is a long standing home, floral, and garden business with several branches in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. Three times a year they hold an Ideas House in what was a 1920's era Bachman's family home on the flagship property in Minneapolis. Their designers transform the house seasonally to showcase new trends, some vintage, and repurposed items...and nearly everything is for sale in the house, or the retail stores. $1 from each $5 ticket from this house went to Hats & Mittens- warming bodies and hearts- creating a welcoming world for kids. They were also taking hats and mittens in collection bins!
Are you ready for the tour? We'll start in the front porch!
As usual, I'll let the photos do most of the talking.
(Yes, that IS an old car top rack.)
Let's head inside...
This vintage music cabinet was used for organization in the entryway.
The festive living room...
I thought these wood ornaments were fun!
Here's the adjoining sunroom...
I loved this look...
The dining room was sophisticated...
with wood, potted white poinsettias and succulents.
Such a pretty mix of plants!
The kitchen was cheery and festive with lots of red accents!
The lower bathroom was tiny and, as always, charming...
Finally, we'll head up the stairs...
and check out the upper bathroom.
I loved the red accents!
I thought this sink area was lovely!
I hope you enjoyed the tour! I'll post the rest of the house,
with the bedrooms and always great outdoor area, on Thursday!
Linda, It is apparent that a lot of work went into this beautiful place. I loved lots of those wonderful ideas. The banner and ornaments at the window. Love the pillows and the dishes. Thank you for posting this. :) Blessings, xoxo, Susie

ReplyDeleteLove it! So much to take in because everything is so beautiful and perfect. Thank you for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteYou know I love the red accents! I have some brown shutters similar to what you showed on the wall and I think that's a great idea. Might have to dig mine out of the closet. Mine aren't that long. These folks always have the most clever ideas! Thanks for always bringing them to us all.
