Happy New Year!
I have been slowly putting away my Christmas decorations and giving
our home it's winter decor! We have a long, cold winter here in Minnesota,
and it's so nice to have a cozy refuge from the frigid, snowy weather outside.

I've worked on a couple of quick and easy sign makeover projects this week! I like to use signs in my decorating, and on many of them I use both sides. Some are seasonal, and others are displayed year round, but these are for winter decorating.
I bought this sign at Bachman's. I loved the old ceiling tile look.
To give it a fun look for winter, I used some black and silver
metallic scrapbook paper I had, and cut it to fit the inset area.
I simply used double faced tape to attach it.
Then, I printed off a graphic I made on Picmonkey {affiliate link}.
I chose "Cozy and Warm", but you can use any saying and font you want.
There are plenty of free printables on Pinterest, too.
I think it will be fun for winter and I plan on using the metal sign as a frame for other signs throughout the year, as the paper is easily removable!
The second sign was a cute little galvanized sign I bought from Magnolia in 2016. It was hung on a chalkboard in my kitchen.
This one was simply flipped over to the plain galvanized surface...and I used a Sharpie water based paint pen to write a new message for winter!
Fresh and pretty for winter!
It's fun to take a look around your home and see how
you can re-use or makeover what you already have!
Until next time...
Love your signs. The way you have reused them is clever and thrifty. xo Laura

DeleteSo clever, Linda, adapting the Christmas sign for winter use. Both are gorgeous.
