We have had a few warm days lately, but still have a lot of snow on the ground
and more winter weather today. So I am more than ready for some
spring decor in our home! Fake it 'til you make it, I guess!
I thought I would share a little St. Patrick's Day decor today!
An old ladder and a chippy little bench, is one of my favorite display areas!
It works so well for hanging vintage linens and artwork,
as well as having a flat display area for other goodies!
For St. Patrick's Day, this wonderful lucky horseshoe runner
is a perfect "Luck 'o the Irish" piece!
An old faded kelly green feed sack adds a nice pop of color and an oxalis botanical print is fun here, too. You can go on Pinterest or to the botanicalillustrations.org website to find all kinds of old public domain prints.
If you type in "oxalis", you will find lots of great old prints like this one,
that I printed and displayed on a clipboard.
An pretty oxalis plant from the nursery is displayed in a vintage silverplate urn, and a little shamrock crumb pan and an old sheep postcard were used here, too!
My black rain boots and a vintage umbrella are at the ready...
Love this old plaid...
It's starting to feel like spring in here!
I have much more spring decor to share with you soon!
Until next time...
I love the way you layered this spot, Linda. Each item is so sweet on its own but together it's very eye catching and perfect for the season.
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard for me to decorate for St. Pat's day! You did it perfectly! Vintage elements whispering Ireland without being hit over the head about it...lol. Stealing!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Valerie! I never do very much, but I have fun with it!
DeleteThat sheep postcard should be enlarged and framed! It's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great, Linda! I don't have any St. Patrick's Day decor. I need to get a printer so I can print out printables.

ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful St.Patty's display, LOVE that amazing vintage postcard!
ReplyDeleteWonderful pieces for St. Patrick's Day. Hope Spring comes knocking on your door soon!
ReplyDeleteLove your springy St Patrick's Day decor! All I have is a little vintage cup (that I can't even find, lol) and a mini green Beanie baby for St Patrick's Day decor. So, I didn't even bother this year. I do have a shamrock plant from last year though - it's still going strong. I love how you put yours in that silver urn.
ReplyDeleteI love your sweet Irish treasures! So pretty! ♥
ReplyDeleteHope you had a nice St. Patrick's Day! Lovely decorations :)
