Even though it is still winter here in Minnesota, it IS March now!
Before our last blizzard, I took down all of my winter decor and the "Let It Snow" signs. I'm ready for a little spring in my life, even if it is only indoors!
This week I am joining a group of bloggers who also have spring and St. Patrick's Day on their minds, for Sharin' O' The Green Blog Hop!
Our hostess, Amber of Follow The Yellow Brick Home, puts together a
wonderful hop and does such a beautiful job with her own decor!

If you have just hopped over from Have A Daily Cup of Mrs. Olson
I am happy to have you here! I know you enjoyed Jann's spring green decor!
I decided to start my spring decorating with a new mantel setup!
I was inspired by a recent thrift store find...this lovely watercolor print!
I love the green and country village feeling.
I added this little cottage wall pocket...
My daughter found this lovely old birdcage at a garage sale and thought of me!
It's so nice when people find goodies for you!
I just love the little bird sitting on the perch!
The Four Leaf Clover sheet music was a recent thrift store find, too! My little green gnome is a cute stand-in for a leprechaun and spring flowers and grass are perfect now. Little eggs and nests were added with a vintage green plant mister, too.
Pussy willows and a forsythia nest were added to the other end of the mantel.
I'm loving this touch of spring and St. Patrick's Day!
I hope you enjoyed this start to spring in our home!
Be sure to visit the other blogs on the tour!
There's lots of St. Patrick's Day and spring inspiration to be found!

ReplyDeleteSo cute!!! I'm so boring with my mantel...it stays the same most of the year except for a fall display, followed by a Christmas display!
ReplyDeleteYou created a beautiful spring mantel! The watercolor that you found looks great here and it makes you wonder why people get rid of pretty things like this. Your daughter was so sweet to get that birdcage for you. You are going to enjoy using it for decor this spring and summer. After seeing your nests, I'm ready to pull out more spring decor for my home.

Okay so I really want that birdcage......and that painting is fabulous. Makes me think of one I recently picked up and failed to notice that it too is mostly green! Not a lot of green going on here, I'm afraid. I'm recuperating from hip replacement surgery and we're focusing on our second daughter declaring a college for the fall and a nephew that's getting married this spring....all good things. Just puts my decorator's instincts on hold for a bit! xo Kathleen
ReplyDeleteI love your mantel and that watercolor was a great find! But then so was the birdcage! Yipes you are lucky you live far away🥴.
ReplyDeleteI'm so ready for green too. Love the bird cage and nest!
ReplyDeleteIn every pic my eye went right to the birdcage.
ReplyDeleteI don't think mine would fit on the mantel, but I do think I need to find a spot for it. Thanks for the inspiration.
Linda, your mantle is perfect! I am only enjoying spring indoors as well. That thrift find painting is a treasure, and I am drooling over that birdcage!!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
I love your mantel and how you have it styled. Love your spring touches.
ReplyDeleteGreen seems to be in. That's what my friends tell me. It will show up in a few spots, but mostly from the green in the sprigs from different plants. I love your Spring! Always.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute and sweet mantle decoration! So inspiring...Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThat birdcage is AWESOME! Along with everything else on your mantel! I spy some thermoses in one of the blogger's picture, so I'm off to check that one out!
