I'm thinking it's time to share some fun thrift store finds! You know I love a little treasure hunting and I have a few goodies to share with you!
I found two small wood bowls...
I love bowls that are bleached out with age. At 25 cents each...yes, they are going home with me!
I found the plaid flannel runner in the Christmas clearance at Hobby Lobby...without realizing it was the same pattern as the wallpaper I found thrifting a while back, and had put on my hutch backing!
The bread board below was another fun find.
I love the painted edge, and the wood tone.

Another fun find was this old Danish Christmas book...that cover!
I found this wooden angel...
as well as this beautiful bleached out wood spindle.
A little glue...and how perfect they are put together on a wood base.
I am keeping it out all year round.
How about this nice crock? It can be used for so many things...
right now for clean and simple winter decor.
And finally...something I have been on the hunt for FOREVER...
and have never found in a thrift store. Until now.
I found an old English marmalade jar! This one dates from 1873-1898 and is in beautiful condition. I know when I spotted it, my mouth dropped open.
I was there in a flash to see what the price was...$3.00.
I know you know that feeling!
I guess good things do come to those who wait...
Did you have any fun finds this week? I'd love to hear about them!
Until next time...

Lucky you to find the English marmalade jar and at such a great price. Enjoy
ReplyDeleteThank you, Dawn! I see them all the time in antique stores...but they are pricey!
DeleteOh, how I would love to go thrifting with you! And what an especially lucky find with that marmalade jar!!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't that be fun? I was thrilled to find that old jar!
DeleteLove the crock!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angie! I knew sooner or later I'd find one!
DeleteHow my gosh... you really had me at the vintage marmalade jar! I have been looking myself for YEARS and have never found one. Took me 5 years to find a vintage 'potted meat' ironstone jar from England so I guess maybe in another 5 years I might find a marmalade jar, lol.
ReplyDeleteI never see them either...I have one my daughter found 10 years ago at a garage sale, and gave to me. That was nice...you just don't run into them very often!
DeleteGREAT finds! I love, love, love a "bountiful" day of thrift store finds!!
ReplyDeleteAlways fun!!
DeleteWow Linda,
ReplyDeleteYou scored big time thrifting. I would've been so excited seeing the marmalade jar. I would have been giddy then to find out the cost was $3.
Love the other crock and sweet angel how cut is that?
Cindy
