I hope you are doing well with the changes we are facing right now...
and that you are staying healthy!
Today I have a fun post for you! I hope it will bring some inspiration and a little fun into your day! I am joining with the Thrift The Look Garden Inspired Decor blog hop where we take inspiration photos and recreate our version using as many thrifted pieces as possible. Since we weren't able to do much thrifting before staying home, each of us shopped our own homes, and created items, too.
This time our challenge is Garden Inspired Decor!
A BIG thank you to Sarah Of Sadie Seasongoods for putting this together for us! We are all admins for the Creative Vintage Darlings Facebook group and
would love to have you join us there, too!

Amber is so talented and creative and this photo is one of my favorite spring garden vignettes ever! So, I thought I would try to create my inspired version in our home! Thank you, Amber, for allowing me to use your beautiful photo for this challenge!
I started by printing out a photo to use for reference,
and made a list of different components.
and made a list of different components.
Here are the items I used for my version~
Thrifted flower frogs
I wasn't able to find a little green bottle so I used a thrifted green vase...
a thrifted ceramic bird
am old thrifted book box cover...love the graphic
I loved the wonderful book Amber had in her vignette! I was able to find a newer one, but it didn't have the same vintage feeling. So I decided to create some artwork. I used an old book cover from a wrecked up book and decoupaged a downloaded mushroom botanical print from Artscult (not sponsored...just what I used).
They have 169 pages of mushroom botanicals! You can also find this old print over on Biodiversity Heritage Library.
Amber's book is still on my thrifting list, though...when we can thrift again!

I used this little thrifted easel to hold it.
I used the bird in a little nest I had.
The box cover artwork was held in the flower frogs...
Another thrifted piece was this $1.99 glass container. It's a nice size perfect for holding fern fronds, like the original. I had never thought of using a container in this way, and I think it will be fun holding seasonal things all year round.
Soon, I'll have ferns growing in my backyard, but for now, I cut these faux ferns, and used the fronds. I added some little dollar store moss balls to the bottom, to hold them in place.
Amber used a lovely demijohn in her vignette. I actually have some that I have thrifted, but they are in storage right now from our move. So I improvised with a wrapped glass bottle I had, for a hint of the same textures.
I loved the way Amber used old doorplates in her vignette.
I used this lovely old copper plate that was a past garage sale find.

I used a big old thrifted aqua bottle to hold last year's pussy willows. At the end of the season, I just roll them up in a long piece of brown paper and store them.
I often use them for several years.

I love how it looks all put together! While it is different from Amber's...I think it captures the feeling of her beautiful vignette, using my items! Amber had her vignette in a tray, I used my old wooden floor grate, a curbside find.
