Hi Friends!
Hope you are doing well and staying healthy!
We are well here...this week everything has leafed out and popped into beautiful blooms!
My lilacs are in full bloom as are the apple trees! This week I worked on a little spring decorating
and a simple project, to take advantage of this pretty time of year!

With all the scrap wood around here, a quick sign project came to mind!
A piece of beadboard, with a simple whitewashing, was perfect.
I made an easy pattern to print using Picmonkey, and then traced it, using transfer paper,
onto the wood. Then I simply painted in the letters with black paint,
and when it was dry gave it a light distressing with a sanding sponge.
I thought it would be so cute to use with some of the blooming flowers around here!
This barnwood window frame planter would be perfect...
and pulled out an old wicker basket, and a couple of thrifted watering cans!
I also used an old white plant stand I had.
The real stars of the show are the lilacs and apple blossoms...
Such a lovely time of year! It's so nice to be able to get out into our yard and enjoy it!
Get The Look!
Get The Look!
Until next time...
Well how clever is that! I don't know how you manage to come up with all these projects.

Such a fun project, Linda! I am so envious of those lilacs, they are my favourite flower(ing bush) and I love the time time of year when they grow in my front yard!
ReplyDeleteLove the sign Linda and love your whole vignette. The lilacs are beautiful. I planted a lilac tree this year and I hope in years to come it will give me beautiful flowers and that intoxicating smell. Have a great Memorial Day Weekend.

Very pretty and so welcoming, Linda! Love how you put it all together. The sign turned out so sweet and love the little basket and table. Hope you are enjoying some nice weather this weekend. Take good care x Sending hugs xo Karen
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Linda! You make everything look so easy...not so much for this non-crafty person, lol! My lilacs barely lasted 1-1/2 weeks here. Once the heat and humidity set in (which it did very quickly), my lilacs all turned brown.
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable, Linda! Did you use the white transfer paper? I need to get some of that!
